THE UNION OF THE OPPOSITES
The descent is no longer a flight, but a homecoming. The Initiate stands at the center of the psychic storm, where the serpent and the eagle finally meet. The serpent, crawling in the dust of the unconscious, represents the primal instincts and the ancient wisdom of the earth. Above him, the shadow of the eagle marks the presence of the spirit, the soaring intellect that can become a predator if detached from the ground. To hold the serpent while under the shadow of the eagle is the ultimate act of integration. It is the 'Coincidentia Oppositorum', the moment where the low and the high, the dark and the light, are no longer at war. The Initiate does not choose one side; he becomes the vessel for both, transforming trauma into a sacred equilibrium.
